Ok maybe it’s the three cups of Ethiopia Sidomo that I have treated myself to today, the totally awesome vantage point for people watching, or the free wifi! I don’t know but damn it I love this place!

I have successfully spent almost every day of my first three unemployed months just hanging out mid day in coffee shops around midtown just going over the days job posts on Craigslist, drinking great coffee, and people watching. Today I am reminded once again why I love Java City Midtown.  They pour a really nice cup of Joe yes but I think the people watching here tops it all.

If only I could muster the courage to interrupt the nearly seven foot tranny who is wearing black socks with hot purple pumps (wtf?) who is arguing politics with a Hispanic dwarf.  Didn’t your momma teach you to never argue with a Hispanic dwarf? This is an experience that although is being shared with a cafe full of 15 plus strangers will probably never be adequately described, ever.

One more cup of coffee and I might join in or I might stab the hard selling sales guy trying to get some poor young sap to join his MLM in the neck with some biscotti!

The desk style chairs along the wall are comfy and are great for watch people as they enter and go or argue or sell but today I’ve chosen to sit in the window and watch people walk by. I often get caught staring. my advice to you if you get caught staring is just to smile, or if you want to have some fun give a wink but be careful this town is crawling with undercover nut jobs. I know I used to internet date…
